Alejandra Sieder_Studio 1_1920x1080px_LR.jpg

Alejandra Sieder, a Spanish-Australian artist originally hailing from Venezuela, possesses an innate and profound artistic sensibility that finds eloquent expression in a mesmerising amalgamation of monochromatic op-art, personal reflections, and emotive encounters, all meticulously distilled into a realm characterised by pure black-and-white geometry.

Upon the initial contemplation of her artistic portfolio, observers find themselves ensconced within a captivating enigma, a dualistic experience of both bewilderment and fascination. It is a juncture where perplexity and allure harmoniously coexist as Alejandra's creations unfurl visual illusions that pulsate and interlace before the discerning gaze of the viewer. However, this initial enigma gently unfurls to reveal a deeper stratum of admiration for the meticulous detail and precision inherent in each masterpiece.

Alejandra's artistic journey has been further underscored by her status as a finalist in esteemed competitions such as the 2023 Lethbridge Landscape Art Prize, Salon des Refusés, the Lethbridge 20000 Art Prize, and the Contemporary Art Awards.

Influenced by a constellation of artistic luminaries including Cruz Diez, Riley, Carmen Herrera, Miró, and Kandinsky, Alejandra's artistic upbringing in Caracas, coupled with her dedicated scholarly pursuits, has bestowed upon her a profound reverence for the nuanced interplay between motion and viewer perception.

Through her artistic endeavours, Sieder aspires to captivate her audience in a transcendent visual odyssey, ushering them into an uncharted dimension of exploration. Her overarching ambition is to seamlessly intertwine the facets of materiality, spatiality, and the viewer's sensory engagement, extending a heartfelt invitation for spectators to become integral participants in the evolving narrative of each artwork. With every deft brushstroke and nuanced form, Sieder adeptly conjures the illusion of motion, captivating the observer and beckoning them to immerse themselves on a profoundly personal level within the mesmerising realm she has painstakingly crafted.
